Grade 6 Math Test
The math test scheduled for today has been rescheduled to Monday. Having had the Junior Achievement presentation on Thursday, the students did not get a chance to review for the test, so it seemed fair to spend time reviewing today. Each student must have their own calculator for the test. They are not allowed to share a calculator.
CO-ED V-Ball Tryouts!!!
Just a reminder that the Monday morning tryout is cancelled due to elections being held in our gym. Therefore, the first tryout will be Tuesday, Feb 28th at 7:30am-8:30am and then again at 3:30-4:45pm. Don't forget to bring your completed permission form. Without it, you will not be able to attend.

As students will have ample class and computer time at school and have this weekend to work on the geography assignment, the due date has been change to TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28TH.

Grade 8 Geography Community Planning Assignment
Assignment - You have been offered the job to plan a community using the criteria provided in class. Students have been given the paper and will have class and computer lab time to complete the assignment. Any work not completed in class will need to be done for homework. Students may hand draw and / or use the computer to assemble the plan for their community.

Novel Study Book Report Assessment
Grade 6 and 7 students have been given their novel study book report assessment rubrics. Students were assessed on reading and writing. They have been instructed to share these grades at home with parents. They are currently working on board games and also will be creating a children's picture book of their own in the following weeks.

Grande 6 and 7 Board Game language project
Grade 6 and 7 students are currently working on creating a board game that is connected to the novels they read in class. We have looked at existing board games and the type of creative thinking that is involved in creating these types of games. Students have computer and class time to work on this project. Some work will also need to be done at home. This is a group project in the way that there will be one game created per group. Students will be assessed individually based on their own work that lead to the development of the game. Each student and group will submit a form stating how the work was divided. Students please bring in material that your group can use such as cardboard boxes, dice, timers etc.
GAMES ARE DUE: Wednesday, February 22nd. Tuesday Feb. 21st will be the last day groups can put together all items to create their games. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!
