Grade 8 History Test

Grade 8 students will have their final history class and assessment for this subject on Thursday, Jan. 26th. On Tuesday, Jan. 24th we will spend part of the class doing preparation and practice questions. The test will cover ONLY material in chapter # 9 of the history text "Canada and the Coming of the First World War". The test will be OPEN BOOK. Test questions will comprise of all types of questions (knowledge, thinking and application). It is VERY important that students review the chapter at home to be familiar with the content and therefore will be able to complete the necessary critical thinking required for success.

We will begin the subject of geography in February.

Grade 8 History Fact Sheet on an Influential Individual

Fact Sheets are due : Friday, November 11th. We had 2 classroom periods in the computer lab to work on this assignment. Please read the rubric on the orange coloured instruction sheet for assignment criteria.

Grade 8 History Test - NEW DATE Friday, Oct. 28th

The grade 8 History test will NOT be on Tuesday, October 25th.
The test WILL BE ON Friday, October 28th.
The test will focus on material we covered in class (handouts and group project). It will cover the topics we learned about in chapters 1 - 3 in our history textbook.

Grade 8 History - Confederation Advertisment and Unit Test

Grade 8 students will be in the computer lab on Tues. Oct. 18th for time to complete their "Confederation Advertisements". This assignment is due at the beginning of class on Friday Oct. 21st.

The Confederation unit test(Chapters 1 -3 of the textbook) will be on Tuesday, October 25th.
